Angela Sandelier, MBA CPA

Angela has been practicing in the fields of accounting and auditing since 1993 when she obtained her Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE). She was also a 1992 graduate from SIUE with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (Magna Cum Laude). She began her diversified accounting career as a junior auditor in a small public accounting firm in Asheville, N.C., and with forays into the private sector at a local nonprofit, a law firm, and a manufacturing company, she came full circle back to public accounting when she joined our firm in 2005. As our Attestation Manager, Angela focuses on the attestation needs of a diverse client base consisting of labor unions, nonprofits, and local closely-owned businesses. She also provides payroll services, USDOL reporting, and assistance with bookkeeping (QuickBooks) and third-party audits. She is also responsible for the firm’s quality control practices, including the detailed pre-issuance reviews of statements for the firm’s attestation clients (review, compilations, and preparations). Angela is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA), the Tidewater Chapter of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (TCVSCPA), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). She is actively involved with the Wards Corner Lions Club and Wards Corner Lions Club Foundation as the Treasurer for both organizations. She previously led a Girl Scout troop for the Colonial Coast Council of GSUSA. Angela was raised in many places as the daughter of a U.S. Navy officer, but primarily in Virginia Beach. She and her husband, a U.S. Navy veteran, have two children

STEVE SANDOVAL, CPA

Steve became a Certified Public Accountant in 2008 and has over 20 years of experience providing tax services to individual and small businesses. He assists clients with payroll services, QuickBooks bookkeeping, tax planning and tax resolution issues. Steve enjoys building long term relationships with his clients. He is a graduate of First Colonial High School, has a Bachelor of Science in Business in Communications from Radford University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Old Dominion University. Steve is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, Tidewater Chapter of VSCPA and Hampton Roads Tax Forum. He was the treasurer for Tidewater Wooden Boat Workshop from 2015 to 2023. He also volunteers for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia, is a board member of the Old Dominion University Alumni Association and serves on the City of Virginia Beach Audit Committee. Steve and his wife Amy regularly foster kittens for local rescue organizations. Steve is also an avid sports fan and can be found watching the Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, and Dallas Cowboys regularly. He served on the Morecambe Football Club’s Trust Board (Morecambe, England) from 2020 to 2022 and has become a massive football (aka soccer) supporter. He also enjoys golfing and spending time with family and friends.

Dawn graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2000. She has over 20 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and taxation. Dawn is detail oriented and performs a variety of tax services which include tax planning, preparation, review, and representation before various taxing authorities. Dawn is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, Tidewater Chapter of VSCPA and Hampton Roads Tax Forum. She has been the treasurer of various nonprofit organizations. Aside from work, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and volunteering.

Annie Reed, CPA

Annie Reed, CPA received her license as a Certified Public Accountant in 2018 after finishing her Master’s degree in Accounting from William and Mary. She began her career in public accounting at a mid-size regional firm then shifted to work for a family office. In those years, Annie worked in many diverse industries including mining, citrus growers, construction, real estate and various professional industries. She enjoys providing tax and accounting services to individuals and their small businesses. Annie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, The Tidewater Chapter of Certified Public Accountants, and the Hampton Roads Tax Forum. She was born and raised in Minnesota. She moved to Virginia Beach in 2006 following her Navy husband. Together they have two children and live on a small hobby farm in Chesapeake. Annie loves to travel, eat, and spend time with her family.

Donna is a CPA with over 25 years of professional experience providing tax and accounting services to individuals, small businesses, and no-profit organizations. She is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and is a member of the AICPA and VSCPA. Donna is Treasurer of Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia and Treasurer of the Thalia Garden Club.
